My approach to portrait photography is very similar to that of my wedding photography, a documentary feel or lifestyle approach at the heart, with a few semi-posed shots where appropriate. Whether out on the beach, walking through woodland, or in my studio, I preferably take a position where I simply prompt you and make suggestions as apposed to telling you exactly what to do. My style as a whole therefore takes a more informal approach and I hope a more relaxed experience for you. Of course there are times when a more formal and hands on approach from me is required and if you communicate this to me before the shoot I will insure you get all the shots you need.
A large part of my portrait work is post produced to variations of black and white or a single toned colour, although I provide you with some colour pictures and always have colour versions as a backup, it is important for you to understand me and my style before buying into my work. Unless communicated to me otherwise by the client, I strive for a genuine and a timeless feel to my photography that represents real moments at their best, some pictures just happen whilst others need a little care, planning and promoting in order to provide you, my clients, with a collection of photographs you can be proud of.
Investment
Based in North East Cornwall I undertake portrait commissions across Cornwall & Devon as well as further afield when required. All my portrait shoots include travel within a 20 mile radius of Liskeard, post production and all your pictures (minimum of 50) in high resolution to print, upload and share at your hearts content.
You can also choose to buy prints, books or other products from me anytime before or after your portrait shoot, however there is no obligation or hard sell to buy anything and I will even give you suggestions to where and how to present your pictures if you have an idea and wish to do it yourself.
the studio: £95 – a relaxed or formal shoot in my studio based just outside of Liskeard, Cornwall.
the home look: £95 – an hour or two in your home using mainly natural light from windows throughout your house or in one particular room, great for small children. Extra travel charged at 30p per mile.
the adventure: £115 - approximately two hours on location at a space that is important to you or discuss possible locations with me. Beaches, lakes, moorland, open fields and woodland are all perfect locations, great for the whole family or just the two of you. Extra travel charged at 30p per mile.
