Midweek weddings are always a bit of a knock to the system, you wake up the following day thinking its Sunday and then you realise it actually Friday and have another wedding tomorrow. Last week on Thursday 5th April I shot a wedding at the Trevenna Wedding venue near St Neot and Coliford Lake on Bodmin Moor. It was my first time at the venue and I must say a big thumbs up to the staff, the weather might not have been perfect, but the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff was very high in my books, and I’ve seen a few. Despite a fairly windy and grey day we managed to get outside when the sun shined through, and it also meant that people grouped together nicely.
Trevenna is one of those warming wedding venues ideal for small to medium sized family orientated weddings, amazing accommodation on site, some beautiful rooms and buildings and a big handful of open space within a short distance for picture and walking opportunities. You can read more about Trevenna here. Being my first local wedding of the year, in fact only a 10-15 minute drive from home, I was keen to be super fresh and see my wedding couple proud with their wedding pictures, my aim is to always set out and insure that the pictures they receive are better than that of any of their friends/relations, so they really have memories to be proud of.
Another first of the year was attending without a second photographer, covering both the bride and groom during the morning normally creates a couple challenges, but because everything was happening on site at Trevenna the logistics were thankfully a little simpler than they sometimes can be. A short run between two buildings meant I could alternate between the couple as much as needed.
All in all a great family and heartfelt wedding with the announcement of an addition to the family slipped in to the Grooms speech (pic below) – Congratulations.
Below is a bit of a mix of 30 pics from the 400+ pics from the day that the Bride & Groom with soon recive.
